Description

We invite you to get to know the other New York on this route of more than 5 hours. Meeting point: Ranaissance Hotel 714 7 avenue between 47th and 48th streets We begin the Excursion crossing Martin Luther King Blvd. in Harlem and Spanish Harlem in northern Manhattan. We passed the Harlem River and entered the famous South Bronx where we visited neighborhoods such as Morrisania, Melrose and Soundview. There we make stops at the “Joker” stairs, Yankee Stadium and “I ♥ Bronx” graffiti We will pass in front of Police Station 42 (place where scenes from the movie “Fuerte Apache” with Paul Newman in 1977 were filmed. From the South Bronx we will travel to the district of Queens crossing the Whitestone Bridge, an architectural jewel from 1937. Once in Queens we will pass through the Malba neighborhood, a private development from 1908, a typical New York neighborhood where we will see its majestic single-family houses. We will also visit the Flushing Meadows Corona Park*, passing in front of the stadiums where the US Open tennis is played and making a stop in front of the 'Unisphere' ball of the world that inaugurated the Expo in 1964 and also famous for the scenes that were filmed there from the movie 'Men in Black' with Will Smith in 1997 From there we go to the Latin neighborhoods Corona and Jackson Heights, where we will make a 20-minute stop for a cafeteria and services. We will complete our route by visiting the district of Brooklyn where we will make a foray into the Orthodox Jewish neighborhood called Williamsburg, where the largest 'Luvavitch' concentration in New York is located and a passage through the DUMBO neighborhood. We will return to Manhattan crossing the Brooklyn Bridge or the Manhattan Bridge, once we arrive at the Chinatown/Little Italy neighborhoods we will complete our services. Stops: Joker Stairs, Yankee Stadium, “I ♥ Bronx” Graffiti, Flushing Meadows Corona Park*, Latin Quarter of Queens (cafeteria and services) and Williamsburg Neighborhood of Brooklyn (Orthodox Zone) If someone decides to stay in the DUMBO neighborhood or the Brooklyn Bridge ramp to walk across it, we will gladly leave them there and our guide will give them the necessary directions. Stops may vary due to weather, traffic and city events. *The Flushing Meadows Corona Park stop is changed for another, when the US Open tennis tournament is being played.
