Description

Although the Big Apple often brings up pictures of Manhattan, there is so much more to see in this city! This half-day trip will take you to some of the most famous sites and historical monuments in these well-liked NYC boroughs, including The Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. It will additionally offer a fascinating cultural experience as you travel through these areas in our cozy, air-conditioned vehicle. We'll make our first stop at the well-known Harlem jazz district, which includes a visit to the famed Apollo Theater. This stage hosted the memorable debuts of many of the most well-known entertainers in American history, including Gladys Knight, Lauryn Hill, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Sammy Davis Jr. We continue the journey as we travel north from Manhattan to the Bronx and arrive at the storied Yankee Stadium. We'll visit the 'Joker Stairs,' a famous location from the 2019 movie Joker, to continue our journey of The Bronx. In addition, there are several murals painted on the walls by talented street artists. One such mural is called 'I Love The Bronx Mural,' which is an artistic depiction of the Bronx's past, present, and future. Our knowledgeable tour guide will provide information about the intriguing history of The Bronx and its well-known street art alongside us as we travel. Next up is Queens, where we’ll take a peaceful stroll through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, which has many remnants from the 1964 World’s Fair, including the UniSphere. This unique steel sphere is surrounded by cascading waves of water that create the illusion of it being suspended in the air! You may also recognize it from the movie Men in Black. Sports fans will love our stops at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the heart of the US Open, and Citi Field, the home of the NY Mets. Both of these amazing sports landmarks are located in Queens. We’ll round out this half-day tour in Brooklyn, where we’ll explore the Williamsburg neighborhood, which is well-known for its large population of Hasidic Jews. Then we’ll head to Brooklyn’s waterfront, featuring world-famous panoramic views of Manhattan’s skyline that will take your breath away. Strolling through Domino Park, you’ll be able to admire the gorgeous New York Bay, and capture stunning photos of landmarks such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, and One World Trade Center. The tour will end with 2 drop off options: 1. Brooklyn bridge (walk this famous NYC bridge to head back to Manhattan) 2. Little Italy (the most authentic Italian food in NYC)
