Meet just outside of Grand Central and take the scenic Metro North Hudson line 50 minutes up to Tarrytown. Explore this beautiful village, a village that has made extraordinary progress in allowing access to the Hudson River, with the help of a guide that is dressed as Ichabod Crane and holding a lantern. Enjoy the views of the river as well as the Sleepy Hollow lighthouse. From there, we will head into Sleepy Hollow itself. You will learn about Washington Irving, the Legend of Ichabod Crane, and the spooky history of the village. We will visit the Headless Horseman Bridge and Monument. See the Old Dutch Church and Graveyard. From there, you are free to enjoy the rest of your afternoon in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown where you can visit its shops and restaurants, or head to the Phillipse Manor which also offers nighttime programming.
